Golf is a precision racket sport in which competing players (golfers), who use many types of clubs, try to hit the balls in each hole on a golf course with the least number of strokes.
Golf is one of the few ball games that does not require a standardized playing area. Instead, the game is played on golf courses, each of which has a unique design, although the courses generally consist of nine or 18 holes.
